I give private lessons for the pleasure of breaking the routine of group syllabus, mainly for fun although I can use some little extra. These are some guidelines that will help you understand how I see the private lessons before you call or ask about them. They are the most frequently asked questions:

Is it expensive?: Well, the answer is quite relative. A private lesson costs 30.00 euro per hour. But in two hours private lessons you learn what you'll never do following any course of 10 lessons.

When are the private lessons taking place?: On appointment, the day and time that suits you best, taking into account the availability of the room and my own class schedule. For private lessons it's better that you make an appointment three or four days in advance.

How many lessons do I need to take?: That depends on yourself, your dance skills and the ability to retain amounts of information. Usually an average person gets the basics on two lessons and a good level on three to five lessons. That depends also on how often you practice at home what you've learned in your previous lesson.

I woud like to book a lesson of 2 hours and half: That is definitely lovely, why not 3 ... or 5? Very good for me but not for you. If you would like to spend your money on two hours you should take two separate lessons. On a private lesson you will learn many new things, it is better that you take one hour, then leave a gap of one week (practicing at home what you learned) then come back the week (or two weeks) after; bring your questions if any and with a fresh mind, get another shot of fresh steps, figures and techniques.

Can I come and watch a private lesson?: I am sorry but a private lesson it's just that: private. When you take a private lesson nobody will come and watch you either.

I'm an absolute beginner: For private lessons you should not be an absolute beginner. Only if you really cannot follow a regular course because of your work I would consider it. You can follow a course of Solo Salsa Beginners. It's fun and short (only 5 lessons), where you'll get the basics, then you can switch to private.

The lottery question: I do not have a partner. For this I'm taking fragments of telephone calls or emails I've got...

Obviously, those fragments were taken from conversations with girls. If you are a girl, don't have a partner but want to learn Salsa dancing, I can teach you. You'll learn to dance with a partner with leading techniques above the average I would say. :-)
